Here is what to expect once you book your Portrait Session.

  • Pre-Portrait Consultation: Together we will discuss the type, style, location, and most importantly, your purpose for having a portrait done. We will discuss studio policies, directions to the studio, clothing options and any other questions you have regarding your portrait session. You will receive a contract in the mail that needs to be signed and returned with full payment for your session to secure your date. A couple days before your session, Monni will contact you to review everything you will need for your session and verify the time.

  • Purchasing Appointment: Approximately 2 weeks after your portrait session, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to purchase your portraits. During this appointment we will provide our expert advise on the portraits that best fit your needs. Take note of the portrait sizes you will need and where they will be displayed. Additionally, keep in mind other family members, friends, etc. who may want copies of the portraits. If you need more time to decide* you may take your dvd slideshow home with you for a deposit of $300 that will be applied to your portrait order. See our Investment page for pricing details

  • *The purchasing appointment is approximately an hour, depending on the complexity of the order and personal decisiveness. We will reserve up to three hours to complete the purchasing appointment. Anything over the allotted time, may incur an additional consultation fee.

  • Once you have determined your order, and payment is made, please allow up to eight weeks for completion. When your order is finished, we will call to schedule a framing appointment.

  • Framing Consultation: Upon order completion, we will call to schedule a Framing Consultation appointment to assist you in adding the finishing touch to your portraits. We will coordinate with your home decor as well as select the most suitable frames to accentuate your portraits. Due to the custom nature of framing, payment is due when it is framed and ready for pick up.

The focus is on you, not on your clothes. Here are some tips that will help bring out your best in a photograph.

Solid colors in basic hues work best. Avoid clothing with distractions such as words and logos. Dark shoes are best. We recommend a manicure to tidy up cuticles and moisturize skin.

Group portraits should select coordinated colors and tones. However, it is not necessary for the entire group to "match"

Ladies should choose tanks, off-the-shoulder tops, 3/4 length and long sleeves. Please do not wear t-shirt length sleeves. Gym shoes are distracting. Flat ironed hair does not photograph well. Avoid heavy eyeliner. Keep your makeup natural looking natural.

Men look best in solid colored sweaters, t-shirts, polos, dress shirts, and dark shoes. No shorts or gym shoes please.

Please bring multiple outfits. We encourage wardrobe changes!
